This painting approaches the Magician as a public-facing figure of agency and authorship. The work engages with how control, skill, and intention are performed outwardly within visible systems, expectations, and constraints. The card remains in progress as questions of responsibility, consequence, and outward authority continue to be refined.

This painting explores the Magician as an internal state rather than a visible role. The work centers on negotiation, doubt, and intention as lived processes that precede action. It remains in development as the relationship between internal decision-making and external consequence is further clarified.

Current focus: internal coherence and relational positioning

This card engages with knowledge gained through visibility, lived experience, and participation. The painting is currently being revised to refine symbolic elements and visual clarity, with attention to how authority, embodiment, and access are communicated. Ongoing adjustments are focused on bringing the card into clearer dialogue with High Priestess II.

This card is being expanded following the development of The Star. The work examines uncertainty, fear, and distortion as lived conditions rather than abstract states. Revisions remain in progress as scale, atmosphere, and ambiguity are adjusted to better align with the emotional arc of the deck.
